Overview

Lumie di Sicilia brings the heart of Sicily to Rome with authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly feels like a warm Sicilian embrace. Nestled in Via Fratelli Bonnet, 41, this gem offers more than just a meal—it delivers an experience steeped in tradition and regional pride.

The restaurant's core strength lies in its meticulous celebration of Sicilian cuisine. Signature dishes like Pasta Con Le Sarde, a classic blend of fresh sardines and aromatic wild fennel, and Mezze Maniche Al Pistacchio Di Bronte, featuring the prized pistachios from Bronte, reflect the breadth and depth of Sicilian culinary heritage. Their Antipasto Di Sustanza and Caponata provide a perfect start, balancing robust and tangy flavors. Seafood lovers will appreciate offerings such as Involtini Di Pesce Spada and Grilled Stuffed Calamari, showcasing the freshness of the Mediterranean waters that surround Sicily.

For dessert, the famed Cannolo Siciliano and Bomba dell’Etna stand out, with the cannoli’s creamy ricotta freshness being a frequent highlight among guests. The delicate balance of sweetness ensures a satisfying conclusion without overwhelming the palate. Complementing the dishes with Risotto Al Nero Di Seppia or the artisanal Bomba Al Pistacchio Di Bronte adds a layer of sophistication that resonates with food enthusiasts seeking genuine Sicilian specialties.

The ambiance of Lumie di Sicilia is equally compelling—quiet, charming, and deeply rooted in Sicilian culture. Guests often note the attentive and knowledgeable staff, who willingly guide diners through the menu with thoughtful recommendations. The decor celebrates Sicilian art and heritage, creating a respectful and heartfelt tribute to the island’s rich cultural tapestry.

This restaurant appeals especially to travelers and locals who value authenticity over tourist-heavy spots. Its approachable yet refined setting invites both intimate dining and relaxed gatherings, perfect for those wanting to savor Sicily’s culinary traditions amidst Rome’s historic landscape.

In sum, Lumie di Sicilia is a must-visit for anyone keen on exploring Sicilian food beyond the familiar. It marries fresh ingredients with traditional recipes through skillful execution, offering an immersive journey into one of Italy’s most iconic regional cuisines.

Friendly, charming and quiet traditional Sicilian restaurant. They helpfully translated some dishes for me, and their recommendations were perfect. The cannoli di ricotta was perfect.

The servers were very kind, attentive, and made suggestions gladly :) Loved seeing the Sicilian art decorations all around and we could feel their love and pride of the city. The pastas were sooo good and the seafood was VERY fresh!! They weren’t too salty and seasoned just right. Cannoli was good, just too sweet for my palate but tasted fresh :) Would love to come back here and the price was very reasonable!

We had a fantastic gastronomic journey to Sicily in this restaurant that had been recommended to us by a roman friend. I can hardly name what we have eaten as we just followed the recommendations of the owner. All fish they served us was fresh and delicious. And we couldn’t resist trying their cannoli despite the diet, the sin we don’t regret!
